How can I schedule my content in XOGO Manager?

We currently have two methods of scheduling content in XOGO Manager:

 

Advanced Scheduling

Click inside any playlist and then click on the blue Schedule button. This allows you to schedule what days/times various items within your playlist are allowed to play. The classic example is a restaurant - maybe you want to have your breakfast menu on screen until noon everyday, which then switches to a lunch menu, and then at 6pm it changes once more to a dinner menu. And on Saturdays you just want to have your brunch menu on screen all day. This is the tool you’d use for that.

 

Playlist Planner

Every XOGO Player can run one playlist at any given time. But you can use Playlist Planner in order to schedule your players to change playlists for any given calendar days. The classic example here is a retailer - let’s say that you want your player to run its default playlist until late August, when your back-to-school playlist should kick in, then on December 1st you want the player to change over to your Christmas playlist. This is the tool you would use to schedule these playlist changes.

 

In short, advanced scheduling allows you to schedule content within a playlist (on a micro level) while the playlist planner allows you to zoom out and schedule playlist swaps on a macro (calendar-based) level.
