How do I fix the error message that says, "no visible assets"?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

The "no visible assets" error message appears when your playlist doesn't have any content set to display. This can happen for two reasons: assets are hidden, or assets are not scheduled to play.

Step 1: Check Asset Visibility

  1. Click on your XOGO playlist

  2. Review all assets in the playlist

  3. Ensure at least some assets are set to visible

  4. Look for these visibility indicators:

    • Videos: Eye icon should be visible

    • Graphics/Dynamic content: Duration time should be displayed

If assets are hidden, they cannot play on screen.

Step 2: Verify Asset Scheduling

  1. Click on "Schedule" next to each asset in your playlist

  2. Verify that content is scheduled to play

  3. Ensure you have at least some content scheduled for every day

Important: Even if assets are visible, they must also be scheduled to play. If visible assets have no schedule, you will still see the "no visible assets" message.

Common Causes:

  • All assets set to hidden/invisible

  • Assets visible but not scheduled for current time/day

  • Scheduling gaps in your playlist

  • All scheduled content has expired

Quick Fix Checklist:

✓ At least one asset is visible (eye icon or duration shown)

✓ At least one asset is scheduled to play today

✓ No scheduling gaps during operating hours

✓ Current time falls within scheduled playback times
